Imagireading Today! Call for Diverse Children’s Literature and Educational Systems 2017

Imagiread is proud to announce that we’ve recently launched our YouTube channel and are presently looking for the best of the best to feature as part of our Imagireading Today! vlog. If you’re reading this message, it’s likely that you’ve written and/or published a read that we would love to spotlight. Here’s what we are looking for specifically:

Self-help Books (Parenting, Family Matters, Education, Social-Emotional Learning, Psychology, How-To, Health & Wellness)

In addition to literature, we are also presently seeking diverse educational games and learning systems to review. Specifically:

Board Games
Card Games
Puzzles
Boxed Learning Systems*
Workbooks
Journals and Calendars
S.T.E.M & S.T.E.A.M learning sets
Dolls

Interested parties should complete a brief survey about their work(s) before submission. A notification of receipt will be returned, and a final decision will be emailed to the email address collected in the survey within five (5) business days. The decision will include a personalized address, the prospective broadcast date, planned highlights and a graphic badge. If the party has developed supplements and bonus material for their work(s), they should notify us by directing us to the said links at the time of initial inquiry. Once the broadcast goes live, the party will receive notification of the posting via email. Authors/Publishers are encouraged to share the video and use the hashtag #imagireadingtoday with all posts. Additional public relations opportunities are available with submission; please inquire personally.

Books/products approved for highlight will be reviewed during an episode of Imagireading Today! as the sole feature unless otherwise specified per the review calendar. An Imagiread Approved certificate of seal will be issued for reads/products that meet the core values of Imagiread which prominently display art as an expression (vivid and compelling imagery that promotes and encourages diversity, self-awareness, and self-reflectiveness), culture as a perception (appropriate and authentic depictions of cultural competency whereas family, family dynamics and relations, community and education are regarded) and social responsibility where these proficiencies interrelate (clearly illustrate empowerment, inspiration, acceptance, unbias and inclusion). IN ADDITION, ALL APPROVED SUBMISSIONS WILL BE USED INCLUSIVELY TO SUPPORT IMAGIREAD’S CREATIVE LITERACY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS ALL OVER THE HOUSTON METROPOLITAN AREA. Imagiread is presently facilitating programming at eight (8) schools/organizations in the Houston, Alief, Pasadena and Spring Branch Independent School Districts and will hosts six (6) summer school programs throughout Harris County in addition to hosting tw0 (2) cooperative summer school programs. Authors can request photos of works being used in the classroom during programming at any time by emailing us. If said photos are shared on any platform (blog, social media, print media, etc) they must be tagged #imagireadingtoday. Additional public relations opportunities are available with photos; please inquire personally.
